With the mysterious disappearance of vampires, rumors abound that a species war is brewing. I am a disappointed by this me scratching my head. Half-vampire Cat Crawfield and her vampire husband Bones have fought for their lives, as well as for their relationship. I can't very well give the book 5 stars, no matter how badly I want to, just because of the intertwining "spin off" that threw me for such a loop, I've gotta dock 1/2 a star..since there is not 4.5 rating.have to go with 4. Back of Book: Half-vampire Cat Crawfield and her vampire husband Bones have fought for their lives, as well as for their relationship. Or rather, saved by the ending. Summary: Danger waits on both sides of the grave. I was a bit confused by some of the things happening in the 5th book (This Side of Grave) because apparently there is suppose to be a spin off series but it actually ends up intertwining with this one.
